About the Journal

Perma journal seeks to publish content explicitly related to permaculture in its various aspects. Permaculture is understood as a systemic and socio-environmental science, which brings together scientific knowledge with popular traditional knowledge in the planning of permanent human environments and in dynamic balance with nature. In this way, the journal aims to promote the dissemination, production and discussion around permaculture.

Permaculture has an interdisciplinary epistemological nature, dialoguing with knowledge from the most different areas of knowledge, as long as they are mobilized and integrated into their ethics and design principles. Reasoned, well-articulated and argued reflections on experiences, innovations, criticisms, debates, challenges of permaculture are welcome. Perma aims not only to encourage reflection in a network of permaculturists, but also to disseminate permaculture to those who do not know it and promote its continuous development, improvement and transformation.

Contents considering permaculture only as “a set of techniques” without an interdisciplinary approach will not be accepted.
